Goblins on the GameFinder
Here is my experience as a Goblin coach on the Ranked gamefinder.
"No, I don't want to play your Dwarves."
"Uhh, no I don't want to play your 4 tackle Undead team."
"No, I dont want to play you <Insert any Emo coach you dislike here>"
"185 Lizards? No I don't want to play your 3 Diving Tackle skink, fricken 185 Lizard team with my 150 TV Gobs."
"Are you kidding me? Nope,"

"Nope, not your tackling MBing, Sidestepping Wood Elves""

"I already said no to your dwarves, why would I want to play CDs?"
"Or your Khemri DP'ing team."

"Let me see these DEs..... 3 Guards, 3 AG Bossts, 3 Tackles, 2 MB, uhh let me think about.... Frick NO!"

Here Is The Point
The difference between the 2 divisions, It is also why I play Box Goblins and not Ranked is; if get challenged by a coach, it puts an impression that he is cherry picking me. Its human nature of a BB'er to take the easy route. If I meet up with the same team in Box, I just put it on chance, segwaying into

See the difference? I only complained one single time, and still got a game with it. Sure I got smashed, but hey it took 2/3rds of the time, and there were no hard feelings in the end. Start having some fun! Play Box Goblins and take Keggies Black Box Goblin Challenge. There is no time set limit to when you get your games done. Just get 10 wins in the least amount of games. 1 guy could finish before everyone else and then wait to see how the other guys are doing. If you join now, this will probably only run until June 1st. BUT, more importantly I challenge every one! It is Keggie vs Fumbbl! Lets see who is brave enough!

My halflings gets some shameless offers as well. Best is when they have another team active in ranked gamefinder that would be more fitting which they refuse to accept my challenge with.

I preferred gamefinder before the green light system. Both coaches blindly challenging removed any notion of anything underhand.
However, any blog that provokes MattDakka's usual spiel makes me giggle like a toddler. I approve of the character he plays for funs. Therefore, six! :D

For me, I'm starting to think it's about time to combine the 2 divisions anyway. Divisive attitudes don't really help anyone, and it would limit that.
The main reasons though would be a team like this. It has the opportunity to play how it wants and would increase game numbers and/or the speed of getting them.
If both divisions were supporting 500 games per week each, that's fine and all well enough, but they're not.

So on the GF your goblins hit it. They get the green light from everyone. Play up play down it is up to you.
But in the box by blindly hitting the scheduler that makes your goblins more manly, more tough and a better challenge?
On the GF you can choose your epic throw down. Showing you are a real man by choosing tough challenges!!! Taking on the nasty and taking them down.
Goblins on the scheduler seems like cheating to me!!
Pick your form of death and beat it...look it in the eye....Give the middle finger to that mean and nasty team..beat them and have the satisfaction that they choose you to play!!!!!!!!!!!
Box is weak man...Embrace the real challenge on the GF and not duck in some stupid random box.

At a certain TV range or above is not every match up with goblins or flings a shameless mismatch?
Heck even at very low TV how many good match ups are there?
Based on that line of thinking you must be fishing for like 2 or 3 match ups when they are the favorite.
OR looking for the shamless match when your gobos/flings get to play some rookie team when you are sitting at 1300 TV and over match them.

Dunno. I played my flings a couple times yesterday, including playing up a Deeproot's worth against a Norse team with a tackle-POMBer. Yeah, I generally tell dwarfs to go screw, but unless a team is packing a bunch of Tackle/MB or is loaded with blodgers (which is even worse for winning, since Tackle on a fling team is rare), it's not that bad to just take a game.
I don't play my goblins as much, mostly because people seem afraid of them.

Actually Goblins/Halflings benefit from being underdogs, not overdogs.

I think Painstate is taking this blog too seriously. What intended to say in that write up is that I get too picky when given the option to pick. Especially with my Flings and Ogres. If you only know the lunacy offers you get just because they see Fling. Never looking at the team, just hitting "game offer." I much rather to only be given the choice of "Do You want to play Box?" Yes. Then you get watch you get. If you truly don't care who you opponent is, then box is the spot for you. If you do care, then stay in ranked. No big deal. It's not what is better overall, it's what is better for you. It's like debating which Apple makes a better pie. It's whatever your taste buds enjoy more.

There's another option: go to the closest grocery store and come back with a few packs of beer. Get hammered, then challenge the most brutal teams on GF, and laugh.
