BB2016 - Tabletop League
I've joined a BB2016 tabletop league.

We just wrapped up week two, and I have to say I'm loving the tabletop experience. My first opponent was Orks, played by Beorg (the FUMBBL coach, good guy) and the only real change was the inclusion of the new cards. In the first game, the only real "influence" they played was the "Given player can only be stunned" card. I ended up playing it on one of my Werewolves, and it was fantastic. Ended up taking a 1-0 lead and closing the game.

Week two, was against Dwarfs. A somewhat atypical roster. However, the game played out more of less as most Necromantic v. Dwarf games go. However, the cards in this game were much more important. I drew two, one "Friendly Fans" allowed me to run close to the sidelines without fear of being surfed, and injured. My opponent didn't end up surfing any of my players, but I did find I was more willing to hug the sidelines. My second card "Knuckledusters" allowed me to throw a 1DB and guarantee that the ballcarrier was going down. This allowed me to hold the game to 1-1 at the half, and come back for a 2-1 win.

My opponents cards, huge. One was effectively a fireball. (Landmine) and the second allowed him to take control of a player for a turn, which he used to blitz with one of my wolves. Absolutely nuts.

I'm looking forward to week three, and seeing how the new rules continue to play out.

I haven't played a lot of tabletop but it is great fun. The cards seem fun too but I can see them being annoying when they change games a lot. Quite powerful.

I heard that problems with new cards is the pricing. There are 2 decks that mostly are rewordings of old decks. The prices before were 200k per card and was it 100k or 50k per card for other deck. Now.. there are 2 decks.. both cost 100k per card. the other quite weak for it's price and other way too powerful for it's price.

(Sorry if i made any mistake.. i might remember prices wrong or maybe neither of these decks were official originally but now are.. or if they changes something after getting feedback)

sounds great. imagine playing online and getting by cardluck the chance to control the other coach's player (i hope he tried after the blitz a dodge and gfis). so much whining. must be much fun to actually see the face behind.

Cards seem like the antithesis of how many here treat the game.

Maybe, I think the cards make the game a little more fun. Rowdy, to put it another way. I'm curious to see how much it changes as the TV climbs.
