Using his ability to cloud mens' minds with fuzzy logic, Shadow scours the FUMBBLscape in search of evil such as:

6) Racism. No, the Shadow doesn't fight racism. He fights the misuse of the term "racism". If you dare describe his narrow-minded, prejudicial and *censored* behaviour as "racism" be prepared to be savaged by the Shadow's venom. Thankfully, the Shadow will spare us from such linguistic evils.

5) Threads that meander. Confused by a thread that meanders from topic to topic? Don't worry, the Shadow will protect you. Now, you won't be forced to not read a thread whose direction you no longer enjoy. You won't be forced to beg for the thread to be locked so that others can't continue their vile conversations. Nor will you need to not click on that all too tempting thread and avert your eyes. Because the Shadow will slay that thread for you. And if your lucky he'll lie and slander people whom you'd rather see censored in main chat too.


4) Sodomy. Repeated suggestions of violent sexual acts is okay with the Shadow. It's only a mild sin that'll earn you a gentle kick from the channel. But politely ask whether "sodomy" should be added to Censorbot's Angie46x2 Word List, and you deserve a ban. Because we can't have a polite grown-up conversation about the extent of censorship in main chat because words are scary.

3) More than one thread on the same topic. People will go M-A-D!!! if they are confronted by more than one thread on a similar topic. Don't worry, Shadow will protect you from this evil by locking the thread so your precious mind won't be corrupted.

2) Cocktails. Shadow is no prohibitionist. Feel free to drink your cocktails, but don't dare let anyone on IRC know that you've been doing it. Don't worry, Shadow will punish those who violates the prohibition on the word "cocktails"..

1) Cockroaches. They are so evil, that nobody should be allowed to type their names. Just seeing their name on their screen will traumatize too many poor FUMBBLers. Don't worry, Shadow will protect you from such malevolent typists.






Editorial note: This will likely be my second last issue as the main author of the Shadow. I will no longer be chronicling the exploits of the Shadow as he has now gone invisible to my sight. I'll gladly accept submissions from guest writers via PM or the editors might be interested in hearing about the Shadows latest adventures in criminal justice.
