OK, let's compare my luck in the real world with my luck in the world of computer games and FUMBBL particularly.
Case study: This weekend.
Real world: Won $1,600 gambling on the pokies at the RSL (hooray for Super Elephant Spins is all I can say).
Real World: Found a whole heap of $1 true-crime and detective novels in great condition I can mark-up and sell while browsing at the Mental Illness Fellowship Op-Shop (which gets great books sometimes).
Real World: Won 2 out of 3 games of Horrorclix at my weekly game (lately I have been losing around 4 games for every win). Won 2 out of the 4 board-games (Carcassone and Scotland Yard) I played at the weekly board-games meet I attend (against very seasoned players).
FUMBBL: My big chaos team suffered a defeat and lost a FF. Almost my entire team spent the whole match in the KO box, my super-troll had Morley's Revenge the whole match. Then I find my opponent's game hasn't uploaded properly and he has disappeared so my team is stuck in limbo until he gets my PM and fixes it.
Then I play with my skaven team (not used much): Perfectly good scoring team with a few mutations and +agils. Result: Vs some undead, I suffer 5 RIPs. Plus I lose 2-0. This is all due to bad luck, not bad play as some of you might suggest. He blocks me, RIP. He blocks me, another RIP. He fouls me, RIP. I attempt a dodge, fall over and die. You get the picture.
