An update
Ok, in the next few hours we will find out if we will be able to stay in our apartment of if we will have to move. Moving will be a royal pain in the ass, but thanks to y'all, we should be able to avoid outright homelessness at this point.

After giving us a hard deadline, the apartment manager is not in her office, not answering her phone, and her voicemail is full. She has essentially been doing this all month. I have no idea what is going on at this point, but will let y'all know as soon as I do. STay tuned.

She says she is in meetings and has a doctor's appointment. IT is now two and a half hours after the deadline she gave us, and two and a half hours before her office closes. I have no idea what is going on.

Just outta curiosity, in the US when you are in default of acceptance, is there still a way to claim a deadline? Because that would seem pretty strange to me.
