Bad News
It is time to make an announcement that I knew I might have to one day make, but have been dreading.
We are leaving New Orleans. Unfortunately, we have no choice. In the last few days, there have been major problems. In addtion to bad news on the job front, see below, my future mother-in-law fell again, two of our cats have died within days of each other, and a severe thunderstorm has damaged the trailer in which we live. It has become clear that we cannot stay here any longer.
The main job that I thought I had turned out to be a scam, basically a pyramid scheme pretending to hire office managers. Didn't find this out until I had already started training and set things up for the job. My secondary job turned out not to be starting in time. It seems that despite my experience, there are simply no jobs in New Orleans.
As soon as possible, in the next few days we will be leaving for Texarkana, Texas, where Mary and I will live with my mother for a few months so that I can work there and build up a savings. THen, we hope to be going to Olympia, Washington. We plan to leave this weekend if possible.
The problem with Texarkana is that, as some of you may of you know, there are major problems between my mother and I. It is not a stable situation, and cannot last longer than absolutely necessary. So we will have to leave there relatively soon.
In the next couple of days, I need to get my driver's license restored, (which I have now done) find a safe place for Mary's mother until her disability comes in, (which is proving very difficult) and then pack up, get a u-haul, and get to Texarkana.
On a FUMBBL note, I will probably be without reliable internet for a short period of time, hopefully, no more than a few days, though admitedly the stress of the situation (and two of my cats dying) has mentally worn me out quite a bit. I have offered option on how to handle it to the remaining leagues I am in. I will clearly, not be entering any tournaments until the situation is stabilized.
I will *NOT* be disappearing forever, at least I hope not, and I will hopefully only be missing for as short period of time.
FUMBBL has been one of the fews rays of light for me in the recent difficult times, and I am eternally thankful to and for you.

All the best mate, your life is why we only have 1 RR per turn in Blood Bowl, because we common folk barely cope failing both, imagine if we had as many as RL is throwing at you!!

Internet is supposed to be correctly installed in Texarkana but is not working quite right. Hopefully it will shake itself out.
