Octopec: Yes, there is also a separate one that was started that is more recent. A bit of the details that I was unsure about going into:

The landlord here went back on the deal that we made to pay weekly rather than monthly, and demanded the entire amount at once (in addition to more things and the fact that the plumbing is backed up again)

I did not want to say much here because I didn't want everyone to 1) hate me, and 2) think their efforts had failed.

The upshot of it all is that we will be (hopefully, if nothing goes wrong) moving to a small trailer in a nearby town. It's going to be difficult, and especially difficult for me to get to my jobs which are in town, but it is the only real option available.

THat being said, things are still a bit up in the air, and nothing is completely stable. I am very sorry that things did not go according to the original plan (I tried very hard, but the landlord went back on their word/the agreement) We are still accepting, appreciating any donations.

Good to see a new GFM; I helped out a little bit. I've been very fortunate in life so it's the least I can do. Really hoping that you will manage to work it out. Don't be the least afraid to ask for help, even though it sometimes sucks.

I know it doesn't seem so, but is is very hard for me to ask for help. In my past, I lost a very close friend because they had helped me with something and it didn't work out properly.

Easy for me to say, but - the past is the past. This is you, and your life, and you need help to sort this out. Most fumbblers have a big heart and I'm sure more people will be happy to help.

Out of curiosity - what does the FGM goal represent? Old invoices still due? Or the money needed to sort out the new housing?

Keep your spirits up! Having been through a housing crisis of my own last year, I can sympathize with your situation. My solution was to put everything in storage and go cycle-touring for 1.5 months & figure it out later :) Luckily I have a good community around me here in town to help me out. We've played a couple of times, & I remember you as a great coach to play against. I'll donate some more to the GFM.

The GFM goal is a bit out of date. It is at this point, 1) to secure the new place, 2) To be able to get things moved in time, and 3) to try to make sure the process doesn't get hung up.

Staying in the current/old apartment is not an option at this point. (Apartment manager keeps changing things and avoiding us, quoting different amounts and the like. Also I needed to get paperwork from her in order to get an emergency loan from my retirement at work (I do not have normal access to it, only "emergency hardship" access, and she refused to provide the paperwork I needed.
