This is more of a muse than anything else.
While not revealing too much about my age, but I remember a time before the internet where people actually talked to other human beings. Since that time, all we talk to now is a computer screen. Sure we all know that another person is on the other side, somewhere, but none the less we see only the screen. I grew up in the era of video arcades and home video games, I even owned a Coleco-Vision. I remember the times when all my friends would come over and we'd compete against each other for high score and bragging rights. I whiled away many hours with my friends playing Cosmic Avenger, Zaxxon and Exity's Venture trying to top each other's high scores. However, all those gaming sessions had one thing in common: They all started with a phone call. "Hey Mike, this is Wayne what's up?" It would usually be followed by "I got the latest game, wanna play?" This is how all our games would start. It was a standard greeting for us gaming geeks back then, when we actually HAD to interact with other human beings before the era of online gaming and internet chat. But now online it's "game?" followed by "team link," then "yes or no." Wow, that just took all the fun out of talking to other people. The funny part is some people ACTUALLY prefer this sort of interaction. I don't. I'm sure there's others out there who might agree with me. So feel free to shoot the breeze before a game, I have no problem with this. I have plenty of time to play BB and talk about the weather.
Common Courtesy IS NOT a waste of time.
