US Politics is Comedia Infantil for me.
I am not saying that I do not find other countries politics amusing aswell. What I am saying is that I find the US political circus in combination with US "journalism" just that much more filled with humor. Or mind numbing stupidity. Depends on your perspecive and preferences.
