350k inducements for 'zons vs. Lizards
How to spend 350k for this 13 player amazon team:
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=739164
versus this TV 1600 Lizards http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=722104

a) Roxanna + bribe
b) Willow + Wizard + babe
c) Zara + babe
d) ???

As always, thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Update:
In the end it was 340k only (my opponent fired an assistant), which were spent for wiz + dp merc + babe. This combo served me well and the game ended 1:1

They lack Tackle, which means that Roxanna might very well be able to make a huge impact on this match, plus the bribe could be used to splat the Skinks. So, I like option A.

Wizard, Bribe, 2 babes.

Wizard, 1 Bribe and the Chainsaw (you have to spend 10k then).

wizard + bribe + mercenary dirty linewoman
blitz a skink, foul a saurus per turn and you should be fine.

I'd ignore Winni's suggestion if I were you, he has misunderstood the rules on petty cash.
Posted by Badoek on 2013-06-26 14:00:51
because if you spend 10k as the underdog you loose 10k in inducements, netting a total of 0k in inducements and -10k of your treasury.

So never spend money on inducements if you're the underdog (TV-wise). Right?

it doesnt matter, you have amazons and he has no tackle.
smash the skinks, win. induce whatever you think is pretty. i love wizards, chef and a babe could be lolz tho.

Not "never". If you think it's worth it then do it.

e.g. if you are only down 30-40k it is often worth throwing in 50k for a babe.

What Garion have said.

+1 to Garion.

Okay kill me, i was wrong.

Zara would be good, but you already are at 13 so you don't really need the extra bodies.

You've already readied, otherwise I'd be tempted to fire 2 rookies and take Zara + Wiz.

Zara can stab skinks to death (or just 3d them if you prefer) and is ST4 to at least hold up the sauri some what, even better that those Lizards have no tackle to deal with any of your blodge.

I don't know that you need 2 babes, you have a bench anyway, Wizard/bribe/dp merc sounds appealing to me honestly.

hhmm, wizard/dp merc/bribe would be good, but is 380k in total, i.e. too much, or am I wrong here?

What I like about a) is the speed, agility and surfing potential Roxanna would bring to the team. The blitzer should be good enough to target the skinks, and with Roxanna the ability to score fast would improve considerably.

I thought I was rather conservative. Remember you are the harshest of critics, I could have really gone to town on you!

Badoek, not quite, he'd get 340k in inducements. You are only adding 10k to your TV, and therefore losing 10k of your inducements.

In this case, if you spent petty cash, you would have to spend at least 360k to make it worthwhile.

I'm not sure what annoys me more, people getting it wrong or the rule itself.....actually I do, it's people getting it wrong.
Posted by Badoek on 2013-06-26 16:16:30
@hm: ah yes I didn't mean to say he doesn't get any inducements. Just that he doesn't win anything by adding money from petty cash.

@koadah: Forgot about that indeed. So only spend petty cash when you want to spend more on inducements than you can by the inducements you'd get by TV difference. You'd have to pay all of it with petty cash though.

"hhmm, wizard/dp merc/bribe would be good, but is 380k in total, i.e. too much, or am I wrong here?"

I'm too lazy to check, but Wiz/Bribe is 250k, that leaves 100k, merc linewowman is 70k(?) and the skill is 20k or 30k? I think it fits, but maybe the skill is 40k and he's 10k over.
Posted by Meanandugl on 2013-06-26 16:25:53
AFAIK The dp merc is 50 for the 'zon lino + 30 for merc + 50 for extra skill = 130
