fumbbl client doesn't start anymore
Since last Friday on one of my computers (Win 8 system) I can't start games anymore, but on a different pc all is normal. The client opens like it used to and this message appears:

"FantasyFootballClient Version 1.2.5
Connecting to fumbbl.com/78.66.212.6:22223 ...
Connection established."

or a similar one which tells me I have to reconnect (followed by the message above after I have reconncted)

In both cases nothing else happens, i.e. the pitch stays empty and i am not offered to start a game.

Additional info: after experiencing the problem on Friday I did a java update to version 8 update 40 but that didin't change anything. The odd thing about this java update is a different colour of the java window (or sign). Instead of the usual red the background of the logo is now a light blue. This seems to be one of the java colours, but it is definitley not the colour I used to see when I started an application.

Any ideas what I can/should do to enable fumbbl games again? Thanks a lot in advance.

Not that this will help much, but I get a different colour background when logging in on 2 different machines, one red, one pale blue, and both work...

The blue one says "Java Oracle" and has the same message about the Client Version and same 78.66.212.6:22223

Do you have the same Java version on your PCs? I stilo have an older One on mine because installing the latest I can't start my client.

I've had similar problems in the past. It's usually a case or uninstalling then reinstalling Java, or check all your other drivers are up to date. Has worked for me in the past.

Did you also do the bit where you uninstall older versions of Java. It's could be a conflict?

PS the new version does have a blue splash version on my windows 8 PC and works fine. I think the new version of JAVA is blue and it's not a fault :-)

Thanks for your answers. Good to hear that blue is not the problem. However, it seems to be a problem with the versions. The PC I use right now has an older version and works fine.

I updated to Oracle Java 8 and 9 (development version), on my machine running Linux, and I wasn't able to start the client either. Reverting back to Oracle java 7, made it all run smoothly again. Not getting the latest security stuff this way, but I never use java other than to play/spec fumbbl.
