Sauri
In a weak moment I added a Lizard team. With as usual very slowly developing Sauri. Now I rolled a 10 on a Block one, asked my opponent (who played Liz) what he would pick, and got the reply AV. I most often chose MV on my 10s (for elfs).

I can see the case both for MV (with Break Tackle and Tackle in the future) and AV (survive on the line, man mark tough guys). And also, the case for, Sauri have zero skills they need all the skills they can get!!!

What would you guys usually du for Sauri, and is it different if you only have Block on them as in my case?

MV all the way, a mv7 Sauri with BT is a excellent for Off/Def options

If I could go zero normal skills on them I would. Its sneaky GIT or Side Step. So far none have two skills, but I can see how it might be worth it to fire, if they dont have movement or block by then.

SS is a million times better than Sneaky Git for Skinks. Diving Tackle is also a million times better.

I would be tempted to pass up MA and AV on a Saurus, because of the reasons you correctly outline, but either are also useful in the long term. in the short term, Mighty Blow will get you a lot more joy.

I never drop stat upgrades, so my kneejerk would be +MA. However, if it was a 5-5 roll, I might go Diving Tackle. DT on ST 4 is annoying since you normally can't outblitz them without good support and if you put a DTer by the ball, yeah.

If it was 6+4, +MA. 5-5, DT.

With young team i would skip. Go bt. You can build excellent sauri with 6 normal skills. Also sneaky git is a waste. Side step is a lot better. Would probably retire sg skinks before they roll something good and you will regret picking useless skill on them. Also i do not like po krox. Make a killer saurus and use krox to stand around being annoying (with guard, stand firm).

The way I see it, the Krox wants one double for block. 6 SPPs and he then gets more fairly quick, and he can be restarted, so far no other player even have MB. Also I wont get rid of the skinks until they get two normal skills (and its DP on a double) does not mean I will Apo them though.

Neither imo. If you have 6 sauri with 6 normal skills each, you have a better team then if one of them is replaced with +MA.

(though I'd rather have all 6 with 4 normal skills, +ST and dodge)

But with two MA? As I recall one of the main reason to take an early MA (rather then a MV for example) is the possibility of a second one.

Ok, doing the math, I think Sage got it right (other then the possibility for a MA8 Sauri) but that is assuming they live that long (if they dont, Sage is EVEN more right, as you get the MB skill early to use). Now, I'm actually going to do a somewhat suboptimal build, as an experiment, so dont complain to much :-9

I agree that 2x +MA is a good reason to take the first ON YOUR FASTEST PLAYER! If skinks were MA6, I'd say yes, try to get an MA8 saurus. But with a bunch of natural MA8, you really shouldn't need the sauri to do much running.
