From the title I thought this was yet another ragequit but no, I understand the sentiment, I rarely care to enter the gamefinder myself. You will find that Box isn't half as bad as they say. Optimize your TV a little but don't get silly with it. Expect to play more bash than ball teams. Know that the odd game may be against a silly team.

I started my Box "career" with Norse and found them pretty well suited. Undead, Orc, Lizard or Dwarf teams are also very good at low to mid TV. Or you can just play CDs like everybody else. ;) But really, play what you enjoy, that's the best advise there is.

Welcome to the box.
Any teams are playable really, except ogre/gobs/'fling (and norse latter on).
Low TV box is fine and quite diversified.

Thanks Verminardo. I am not trying to call anyone out, but ranked is just very picky lately. Maybe it has something to do with the times that I usually play, or maybe its something else. Either way, it has become very aggravating.

The most laughable thing is a minority of coaches here shout the loudest how Ranked is the premier division in FUMBBL :)

Play whatever floats your boat in the box, you won't bump into the usual suspects that whine about it :)

Maybe my maths is really off, but I have noticed recently that the gamefinder is full of teams with huge winning records, like 30/5/5 or stuff like that. Since there must be an equal amount of losses out there, where are all the teams that lose? Do they just all quit?

Not sure. when I play in the evenings, there are some really good teams. I usually activate 2-3 teams in the 1600-1800 TV and I just go down the list offering matches and get nothing. Then I will see some of the ocaches I challenge playing down 100-300 Tv to a rookie coach. Make what you will of that.

Welcome to the competitive division. Bring anything you want, but if you want to win, it should be zons, skaven, woodies, lizzards, dwarves at low tv.

Vamps can be suprisingly good, but you need to coach well with them. Undead fare quite well in the box, regen is awesome :)

You might want to try nurgle if you are a fan of regen, their firepower is equal to chaos and regen/cheap rotters to protect the power players makes them brutal to go toe to toe against.

Problem seems to be you only play ranked!

throw some stuff into the box, not as much clawpomb as you'd think. Biggest thing is you and your opponents cannot pick each other so noone cherry picks anyone! get some low tv dorks, cdorks, undead, amazon, maybe lizards, hell even vamps and enjoy rookie carnage!!!

I hope that wasn't me last night. I logged on, there were a lot of good teams on, some greenlights came up, and the woman started yelling. 10 mins later it was all noobs, and I took a game that wasn't a lot of fun.

The most hilarious thing in Ranked I find is when you walk in on 2 or 3 Super Star+ coaches with multiple teams activated, but they sit there without playing each other. Then you come back in 10 mins and nothing has changed. Could not be more obvious.

With Box I think you just need to go for it -- don't worry about teams, coaches, times, just jump in and take your menz as high as you can take them. Players will die, and you can decide whether to push on or start another team. (I'm talking to myself here... I love my pixels too much...)

Wellcome to the box. I play Humans here atm. In 126 games with them I can tell you that (in tis order) Chaos dwarf, Chaos Pact, necros, chaos, nurgles and orcs account for slightly more than 50% of my games you might want to consider that wen choosing skills. Vamps thou when developed tend to do ok vs these type of teams.

the data point in the same direction for my other box teams. Thou the higher TV (+1700) you have the more chaos you will face the closer to 1000 Tv you have the more diversity you will face.

Choos your TV mate aint that what the box is about any how ;)

Box is a lot of fun. I like to try and get a decent game in ranked (Non Over used Box teams.) If I can't I will throw my teams that I feel like playing in the box. I always get a game that way.

Lately I try to use my Flings, Slann and/ or Ogres in Ranked. Admittingly I do get a ton of game requests. I am always very picky, but I think I have the right to be picky when using those lesser races. It is funny to see the amount of pickers out there that auto hit games vs Flings without looking at the team. Then again I also do the opposite and auto hit refuse when seeing CDs, Chaos, Necro, or Undead in Ranked. I don't want to play any frequently used Box race in ranked. I use ranked for variety. Because I play so much Box, I'd like to play against an Elf team for a change.

Castle, use whatever team you enjoy using in Ranked in Box. :)

At the time we play (i saw you and played you a couple of time in R so i assume we are talking about the same time range) it can be tough to get game in B also.

Play whatever you want there. Or play humans for the Human League Premiership indeed!

As for R totally agree with your point, i've had some many fair matchup refused, that now, I just wait for people to make proposition (I know it does not solve that problem and might contribute). I rarely refuse if it is under 100tv difference. Above that it's a different story, as i'm not the biggest fan of inducements.

Fidius: remember it needs both coaches to agree to make a game. The fact you see two superstar coaches sat not playing each other doesn't mean they are both being picky - could well be only one. I can think of several coaches I usually don't even bother challenging with anything now as I know they won't accept. Just occasionally I challenge them to see if anything has changed but it never has yet.

you can activate box and also scan gamefinder.

1- try stunty, it is great fun. few players though so less options, but that forces less picking
Also, inducements are very useful, I played a team nearly twice my size last night got 1030 induce and won 3:0. magic armour dice helped.
