My easy trip from superstar back to rookie
So, to keep BB fresh and not get stale I decided to start a goblin team in Ranked and try to make it to 100 games. Needless to say, it has been tough. The games have been fun and aggravating. I thought Nuffle would be a tad more kind to goblins. He might be, but is not a big fan of the family. So here is a few things I have learned 40 games in. Currently 12/5/23
1. Goblins are so darn unpredictable. You will either mow another team down or just self destruct.
2. If you do not get the CAS advantage early on, you are screwed.
3. Even of you are given only 20K at the beginning of a match for tv difference, don't be cheap and spend the 50K and buy a bribe. Always buy bribes.
4. Don't get attached to any of your players. They love dying more than average.
5. Don't take the match seriously. It will only lead to head aches and alcoholism.
6. Expect that if you are beating someone, they will be VERY mad.
7. If you are someone who values your coach rating, stay away from goblins. Unless you are a BB master, which I am not.
Well, hopefully by the time I get to 100 matches, the winning percentage will be a little better. See you on the pitch.

oh and I love the concept of a leaping loony - probably not great for his life expectancy but must put the fear into the opposition - no ball carrier is safe

If you dont take it seriously, then you drink along, which also leads to alcoholism.
So goblins in general must lead to alcoholism, no matter what.

Nice team! I should try playing stunties at some point myself - they look like fun. This is a good example of why CR really doesn't mean very much ..

I remembered my 100th match... didnt even get a "thanks for the game"
But it was good carnage... Even tough it was diced carnage... but ... in Blood Bowl, most of the carnage is diced carnage.

If you can't laugh along when being beaten by Flings or Gobbos, you should not accept matches against them. Seriously, that's just really poor form.

The problem with stunties is that unless your opponent is a poor coach, you really need to outluck them to win. So either you lose, or you suffer an opponent who's grumpy about dice (unless they coach stunties themselves, in which case it should be all back-slaps and congratulations imo). =D

I think with most teams bar Skaven and elves. If you are down a few players on the field your in big trouble. Goblins where you are down in strength even more so.

Anyone who gets annoyed by losing to goblins (or getting a favourite player sawn in half) in a game they selected themsleves should probably check their motives for taking the game, and then take a long hard look at themselves. The carnage and unpredictability is the reason you play them! (Both as and against).

When playing Goblins, never think about winning. Focus all your attention on Fugging shit up. This makes it more fun, and gives you a better shot at winning.

I'm not a big stunty coach but what I remember from playing stunty league is that you cycle player quite a lot. It they don't roll doubles on their second level up they become bloaty.
Especially if they pick up a permanent injury: niggling, Stat decrease (bar MA), they are ripe for the dumpsters.
This helps keeping TV in check and it gives you better chances for that much needed Blodge goblin.
