The best reason to get this is Teleglitch (trailer). A perma-death topdown "horror shooter", it's a very original game. It reminds me a lot of my first experiences playing Doom. I was a kid back then, so Doom seemed impossibly hard. Teleglitch is very, very unforgiving. It's really good.
For $6 you can get that plus a bunch of other roguelike games. I'm less fond of the others, but each to their own.

No comment on any of the games as I haven't played them (other than The Pit), but why do they insist on calling all of these FPS crap fests roguelikes?
Is it because they are procedurally generated? FPS is FPS, roguelike is a game which is actually like Rogue, which, clearly, if you're old enough, or retro enough, wasn't remotely anything like a crappy FPS.

I agree with you licker. If you look for roguelikes on Steam, very few actual roguelikes come up. It seems to be that mainstream is interpreting roguelike to mean permadeath.
