New pitches for FFB
As of today, there are a number of new pitches that will show up in your games. There have been updates for the Default and Blackbox pitches to lower the contrast and emphasize the icons instead of having a super high-fidelity pitch image.
Not all teams have their own pitch just yet, but that will hopefully be resolved in time.
The type of feedback we want here is for general appearance, visibility and playability.
In terms of how it functions, the site will assign a pitch based on a few things:
1. Roster-assigned home pitch (available in the rulesets section of the site for custom leagues)
2. A set of special pitches for things like Blackbox and FUMBBL Cup (more to come)
3. A "veto setting" for the two participating coaches (found at https://fumbbl.com/p/clientoptions )
I would hope that you test these pitches for a while instead of simply veto them all. We genuinely want to have the added flavour and will be adjusting the pitches somewhat if there are ones that aren't very good to play on. Typically, the "nice weather" pitch should be fairly comfortable on the eyes, and the other weather ones are allowed to be a bit less so.
Either way, take a look and please do let us know what you think!

NOTE: I'm making improvements to these pitches as we get feedback. e.g. Khorne visibility issues are being fixed now.

So far I have seen the nurgle one and found it a bit dark personally, however as a concept I think it's fantastic!

Amazing! Been asking Santa for this feature since 2010! :D Also happy that the Blackbox pitch had its contrast lowered. Can we check out the pitches somewhere (without loading them in the client)?

I love the shadows on the Tomb King and Necromantic pitches that give a feeling of the environment around the pitch. Can you post them all in a forum post so we can see them all?

Just seen the Nurgle pitch and I think it's gorgeous, although for some reason my eyes are confused and I'm thinking the line of scrimmage is one square left of where it actually is.

Amazing. I played on the lizard pitch. Love the design. I found it a bit bright, and missed some of the markings I had put on the opposition players.

Love the addition, although I was surprised the first time I played on one. The Chaos Dorf one (don't know if it's the same as chaos) was pretty dark and the uneven chaos crosses are very bright in contrast. Messed up my setup because of it. :D Seen the 'Zons one, looked very nice and clear. Looking forward to seeing the rest. Superb stuff! :)

Just started playing again after a longer break, love the improvements you've made, in particular the little check mark for players that have acted. Custom pitches are awesome, too. How does this work, will I be seeing the same custom pitch as my opponent? The home team pitch? If I enable all the custom pitches, when will I be seeing the standard blackbox pitch? Also, is there a place where I can look at all the custom pitches available so far? Thanks again! :-)

These look fantastic, very well done! I particularly like the Khemri and Lizardman ones, they are terrific. Small bit of constructive criticism - the undead pitch mostly looks great, but the grey oblongs are a bit strange - took me a while to realise they are probably meant to be gravestones? Good idea, but they look a bit odd at present, all being just one-tone sharp rectangles - if you are looking to tweak the pitches maybe more detail there? But still rated 6 - terrific effort, they really enhance all games! :D
