Turning Down Games
I managed to fit 4 games in yesterday. I was quite pleased by that even though I only won one.

I played 2 games with my orcs. I won the first and made a couple of stupid mistakes in the 2nd which cost me 2 early TDs. However I pulled it together in the 2nd half and got 2 TDs back (almost getting a third if my guy hadn't fumbled picking the ball up on turn 8) and drawing the match.

I then tried for a third match using my Orcs but was turned down strangely by a Chaos team. The guy asked for a team overview then said "no thanks". Polite, but I'm not really sure why he turned the match down, I've yet to turn down a game which is where my next two come in...

I was challenged to a game using my Academy Wood Elfs (even though I was trying to get another game for my Orcs, who I had to move into Unranked due to their 4/1/3 record). They were down to 8 useable players (9 once I bought a Line-elf) and had lost all their previous 4 matches. But I played on against my Skaven foes and had a very enjoyable game which I lost 4-1.

Then I decided to start a Snotling team for Stunty. My opponent was a bunch of Skyre Slaves with a TR of around 240. Not surprisingly I lost 2-0 and had a lot of casualties. This didn't bother me and I still won't turn down games, even if I am hideously out gunned.

Be careful with stunty. You can have fun there but alot of people are out to just get easy games for themselves. Same goes for [R] but you dont have to be quite so careful.

Hi Royston,

Coaches have different playstyles and everyone is free to arrange their own matches. Don't take it personally if someone declines your offer. GL with your Bloodbowling!

It's cool that you can go into a game without any fear of loss. I imagine you relish the idea of takin on a bigger stronger team and attempting to cause an upset.

I just get too attached to my teams, and really don't want to see them pounded into the earth. And I am kinda fed up of much stronger chaos/dwarf/orc teams challenging my Woodies coz they know they'll get a few nasty casualties.

With Orcs and dwarves you dont turn down games...

Chaos, i think they shouldnt either, but they are a bit more fragile and tend to get some serious beatings, so most coaches try to protect them. Even with my no DP dwarves i have been turned down by chaosteams a lot of times.
