Winter Holiday Recipe No.1
Green Mush (or What to do with leftover sprouts)
Take slightly overcooked brussels sprouts and mash (or chop) them up, but not too well.
Next fry some onion and chopped up bacon in a frying pan, add in the sprouts and fry some more until you think it is done.
Season to taste (that means salt and pepper).
This tastes great and goes well with most food. For example I ate this today with some cold leftover vegetarian fusilli bolognese.

Put them in the bin. And shoot the person who made you buy them in the first place.

Then add some chopped up sausages and peppers. Then boil some pasta. Then mix boiled pasta and stuff from frying pan with a carton of passata.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Grate cheese over the top and enjoy. A damn sight more than sprouts. :P

Chewie, you need salt and pepper in that. And garlic! Can't cook pasta without garlic.

Gets a lot better if you replace overcooked sprouts with fresh ones, blanch (i.e. boil VERY briefly), cut in halves, then add your onions etc.
