Against my Faction Leader, Deck'O'Capt'n himself! With my healed up team I barely managed to get a TD at the very end to pull off a 1-1 tie. Foodsnatcher, nosepicker extraordinaire (who else) now got a niggly injury. And I killed a rat. Boo-hoo. Notice how somehow, Blifft got ALL SPs for himself, all 12 of them. I call fishy.

Decker's good. I knew that. I mean, the guy's always like that. I'm a newbie. Oh and he got 1000+ games of experience too. So lets just say my team having played 3 games before was a reasonable handicap for him (he made a new skaven team). I expected to pretty much be taught a lesson. And I did learn a lot.

So what did I learn today?
- sending people to the box is awesome. From memory : KO returns at kick on 4+, the 3 others are for the game.
- I did 6 fouls. SIX. I feel like a dirty rat. Sue my team. But fouling usually helps sending to the box or stunning. Don't forget foul assists! The game finished with my 10 rats to his 5.
- Fouls can get you ejected for the game. Don't foul with important players, especially early on.
- I can apparently reroll the block result with my team rerolls even though it doesn't say so anywhere in the game. This can come in very handy.
- A rush is moving with the ball. This solves an after-match mystery.
- Only use Apothecary on SI and RIP. The others don't stay after the game. This cost me Foodsnatcher for the next game.
- Block not only lets you re-rol the block, but also prevents some knock results during the block. It's better than I thought, I need to check the book. "Give Block to GRs".

- Sprinting, like I said, isnt very good, but it was all I knew when my GRs got hold of the ball. Well, GRs are fast, they can stall behind while a path clears. And heck, my whole team is pretty fast, I should always check if there's a chance at an easy ball even with a non-GR. Anyway, throwing GRs far in just gets them hit and keeps the ball deep a few turns, it's not great.

- Block assists. That's where I was on the ropes at a few points in the game. I think this wil mostly come as I play/watch, but it's an extremely important aspect of the game. That's how I win in warhammer (trust me it's awesome) well its just as good in FUMBLE.

So now I guess Blifft got a skill or 5 I'll need to choose (SP hogger!), got money I'm not sure what to spend on yet (GR?) and it's almost 3AM.

EDIT : oh and everytime I finish a game I get an error, along the lines of "identification error, must report game manually". Which I do. But earlier I left in a hurry after my match against Barry and forgot to post them right away. He told me he got a bug on his side that was probably due to my missing report. So it's too late tonight but I need to check the Troubleshoot section so that doesnt happen again.
