My 3rd match in the TR100 mini-league, with my 4 GR team. Also my 1st game against high elfs. It was very fun, it was very fast-paced, and I managed to win 3-2.

What did I learn today?
- Kick & blitz the ball. When I kick and he keeps the ball deep in his territory during his turn, my GRs are fast enough and agile enough to snatch it under his nose. His scrimmage line will be slower, and busy fighting my guys, so unable to reach me. Add as much GFI liners as possible as protection. I started doing this effectively a few games ago and so far it works wonders.
- With Block, the only way to get my GR down is with a pow. And if he's well protected, my opponent has little chance of picking up the ball, and I have good chances of re-picking it in my turn.
- Elfs are somewhat fast (sligthly less than skavens) but the agility makes up for it. It's hard to stick to an elf.
- Elf : they stay back with the thrower until one of the catchers can be reached and score. Get the ball or get the catchers. And there's usually more than one catcher : at A4, that's a 3+ catch. EDIT : 2+?
- With such fast/agile teams, 2 turns can be enough to score. A long pass to a sprinting catcher, or snatching the ball in enemy territory, make for good 2-turners.
I'm glad I get to have such fun opponents almost all the time :) It surely makes for fun games!
