I'm back in it! Playing games almost as fast as a skaven can run away with the ball! (almost, I swear!)
First off a game in the Stomp. At this point my team doesn't stand much of a chance, especially in this game : rotter vs rotter, with me being about 30 TS down. On top of that I played rather poorly, which let my opponent get an easy victory.

So far I'm failing pretty hard at this whole OCCS thing!
After that I realized that 145 Club (which is always looking for more people in the events by the way) will start a few tourneys and leagues soon. I sorted out which teams I wanted where, and thinking this will probably be my last chance at regular teams there, decided to prepare my teams to be pretty solid. Plus I could do wth extra practice.
First off was a skaven team that had some luck with skills, but had just been hit by a wave of MNGs. I ended up faring much better than I expected with the few players I had, also due to the mountain of luck that dropped on me. After a series of crushing defeats and ties, I finally won a game again!

In a similar situation were my Greenfurs. After winning the Rookie Cup but suffering many CAS, a 1-turner appeared in that team. This was my first try at this, so I wasn't quite sure how to play it. I held my own while protecting my GR at all costs, with the bonus of really polishing up on skills, particularly defense.

This was also my 50th game here. I wish I could keep my 26/9/15, 61% record :p
And so my teams were all ready. And finally, SongCoyote and I were able to reach each other to play the KO Cup final. Skavens vs undead. It was great. Awesome. Even after losing a few players I made him fight for his TD, and then pulled out a miracle TD out of my hat to send this in overtime. In overtime I got steamrolled. Although I lost, I truly loved that game.

What did I learn?
- Dodging and 1D blocks : not to abuse, but they sure can work with a little bit of luck. I got very lucky on dodges, but they allowed me to pull out some pretty cool plays at times.
- AG3 as best-on-the-team (undead) isn't as bad at playing the ball as I thought.
- Apparently I can have a pretty good defense at times. And then other times I have brain cramps and can barely cover up for my huge mistakes. Anyway, I'm getting the hang of it.
- I'm told the rat-ogre should have Block as first double, even if it takes a +S roll. Probably. Still, that +S was hugely helpful.
- I tend to overlook things and realize 5 seconds later I did a mistake. Really need to double-check the stuff I do, especially in crucial times.
- As expected, games with higher CR opponents (mostly OCCS so far) are much tougher. And their teams can be much better prepared for tournaments and such. So far I'm definately not performing there, which shows how much I still have to learn :)
And so I had a lot of fun games this week, and expect some more with all the 145 stuff starting soon. And getting stomped in the Stomp.
I also need to find team logo ideas (undead now also covered)

And somehow the replayer problems I had magically solved themselves (all parts of the screen reshaping to weird sizes for example). I still decided to take a look at the alternative one : jbbr 3.4. It fails to download the zip result of the game I choose from fumbbl. But I went to try the 2.0 version and that worked well (but quite frankly isn't pretty). If one of you know-it-alls got free time, drop me a line sometime!
