#30 : I can has win?
So last night I found a "new" player and we agreed to a game. In retrospect, using my so-far-so-fun Khemri might not have been the best choice. Due to some good luck I won 2-1. Due to some "OMG I cant believe this" luck I caused 1 MNG, 3 niggles and 1 RIP. :(

What did I learn today?
- Stay away from the mummys. Far, far away. Really. Srsly.
- Mummys dont make for a great welcoming party.
- Apparently I inspire people to do things sometimes. http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=blog&coach=67439&op=viewcomments&id=7272
Nice thing to see when waking up :)

And now for something new! I overheard about OCCS (Orca-Cola Cup Series), which from what I gathered is a bunch of [L] tournaments, and each year the team with the highest score wins. You can have many teams, but not in the same tournament of course. Sounds like a lot of fun, I'll probably start throwing a few teams that way :)

As the player who followed you up in playing your opponent in the abovementioned match, I'd like to inform you that, although i managed a fair drubbing of his team, its now looking in much better shape with the replacement of a few of those niggles.

So, in the end (and responding to your match report more than anything), having a team put through the ringer whilst it is still new isn't such a bad thing, and I encourage you to continue to play whatever and however you like, whether it be in league, academy, ranked, and no matter what teams are matched up. If people can't handle a good beating, they have no business here!
Not to mention, its a good indication that very very few teams are actually completely beyond recovery (just have a look at some of the legendary teams around Fumbbl that have completed a 'death march' or similar - Hellbound Charioteers in particular)

Also - Keep up the blogs! I know there are many of us that enjoy reading of your latest exploits...
