Rush and Pass recruiting
Hi all,

The bash-free stall-free league "Rush and Pass" will be drawing a new season this week. We warmly welcome new recruits! Whether you're a new coach looking to avoid box minmax clawpomb, or an experienced fumbbler looking to perfect your elfballing skill, this is the place.

The league has both an open and a scheduled format. Open games are always allowed between unscheduled teams, while the season has 2 parallel brackets:

little league (TV 1500 max)
veterans' league (uncapped)

Coaches may have as many R&P teams as they like, and may sign up for 0-2 of the season's scheduled leagues. This means you can either opt to only play friendlies when it suits you, can play 2 scheduled games per week + optional friendlies, or anything in between.

Yes, it's different, but it fills a niche. Yes, I enjoy bashy play too. I prefer Blood Bowl to stunty as well, but enjoy stunty in moderation. Same goes for Rush and Pass.

Standard attrition games where the number of bodies on the pitch is the best predictor for success in a drive does get boring sometimes, and I find RnP refreshingly different.

Besides, it's better than playing elves in [R] and avoiding anything bashy, wouldn't you say?

i can see wanting to do an elf ball league, but no stall is kinda random and ridiculous.

When I joined RnP, I completely disagreed with you lizvis.
But yes, when neither team has a really strong defense, wins can largely depend upon (random fluctuations in) game rhythm. That being said, most games are determined by one or more instances where the kicking team scores.

The setup of the league was never intended to be very competitive, but rather to be more friendly than normal BB, a goal to which no-stalling obviously helps.

I guess the no stalling component is something that mainly appeals to newish and/or tabletop league coaches, though Azure enjoys playing there as well. =)
