[Shameless bragging]
Hooray! My
favorite Ranked team's tabletop namesake Scale Models
won the season's playoffs Tuesday night, despite a 1 on a lightning bolt. Although the lizards started their season as a complete rookie team, they managed a 6/1/0 record, while still making 8 of their 13 TDs with sauri.
In the league structure, the top 4 teams of the (half year) season got to go to the semifinals. I had the luxury of choosing to let
the reigning champions or my lizards compete. Knowing we would play for the chaos cup (the rewards rotate pseudorandomly), I decided to use my lizards, figuring skaven can get mutations anyway. Although the team didn't really seem ready (only 3 sauri with 1 skill each), that decision has really paid off. I rolled a 1 on the 'd3 mutations', but at least it didn't go to a skink. That means I now have
a Clawrus. After catching the kickoff, this player ran in his second TD to win the finals, meaning he got to pick Mb as first skill as well.
This might become quite a nasty team.
