You can get a case from impact but you are right their minis are pretty poor. The Gamesworkshop dark elves are pretty aweful, but there are very few nice elf minis out there at all really. You are best off buying some dark eldar stuff and copnverting it to a dark elf team.

Agree that the standard GW Dark Elf team is pretty poor. One of the only teams that is worse is the Wood Elf one. I would convert one from Warhammer. More recent GW models are much more detailed. Sometimes you can buy a plastic regiment in a boxed set. These are the easiest for conversions.

Buy 2 boxes of GW Wyches and you'll be able to make anything you'll need and still have models left. That's what I did anyway, you end up with 12 Female torsos and 8 Male torsos which allows for a nice mix of models. The shaved heads and mirrored helmets allow for nice distinctions as well.
If you're feeling rich you could also buy a box of Scourges cause their legs and bodies allow for awesome poses.

ps, the corsairs box is pretty good too as Grod says.

Check out theses cases. They're a nice way to store 2 teams and easy to put in a bag because of the minimal size.

Thanks for the advice BiBi. I'm currently in the middle of making a suitcase that has space for minis on the inside and the game board on the outside, but may get that case too as a more portable option. Watch this space for pics. =)
