Milford...why do you do it?
Well Milford does what he does for a simple reason. If he can come up with some great story, deliver the "inside" story and make you have a good laugh. Mission accomplished.
Milford has allways been about breathing some "life" into a major. Make it seem more than what it is, a single elimination KO event that is dry and ho-hum. An honest attempt at putting some FUMBBL fluff history to the majors.
I love going back to previous major predictions threads. Re reading some of the old stories to attempt to link them in a chain of history. Make the Ranked majors an on going perpetual story of history so to speak. Our FUMBBL history of a sorts.
Tales that only coaches on FUMBBL can remember. Tales of glory, Fame, Death, Destruction and the tales of teams rising to the top and claiming a majors trophy. But at the same time tell the funny stories about some of the other teams that took part, they are a part of the tale also.
If you read Milfords updates and have a good laugh. Then Iam happy. That is my "give back" to the FUMBBL community in my own way.
MadTias has contibuted in his own way. Listing all the winners and runner ups. Given us Stats on the majors. One document that lists all the teams and coaches in one listing. I fully support that. But for me that was allways a dust covered tome. Where was the story of Glory?!!! a recording of the massive dicings? the upsets? The Cinderellas of the majors?
I do have this grand vision of going back over the 5+ years of Milfords posts and others in the Prediction threads and coming up with some grand history of the FUMMBL Ranked Majors. It is there allready. I just cant "wrap" my head around how to present it.
That is why Milford keeps plugging away.

I blame all misspellings and grammar issues on my notepad program up at work that I use to write these grand posts...No spell check or grammer check on notepad. You get the unfiltered Milford when I spin a tale on Notepad.

I applaud anybody that makes an effort for the community. Be it running a league, modding, even writing the odd match report. Every little enriches us, and nothing should be belittled.
'Milford' is a good thing that entertains many, and I hope he / it continues. Pat on the back. Just can't bring myself to 6 something so far from being to my taste, in both subject and content. ;)

I am only a bit more than a year old in the web.
It took me 9 months or so to discover what majors were... :)
But only took me 1 Milford prediction post in the FC to love the game, the community concept and the background supplied by him.
He is an inspiration to me.

Fluff makes it fun... and as frustrating as this game can be, sometimes the fluff is all one can look back on and grin. I applaud any and all attempts at fluff, especially one this grand. Kudos!

Well Milford has been writting in the Ranked Majors prediction threads for allmost 5 years now. So allmost 25 majors.
Just start re reading all the prediction threads from majors past.
Alot of funny stuff from the past. Epic games that coaches remember specing.
