Iam conflicted about all this
I have to say I like the Box but I also really like Rank. The Blood Sea Buccaneers, which is my team and to a certain extent who Iam on FUMBBL is in ranked. But I do like the element of the random matching of a basher in the box. ( sarcasim alert on that last statement)
I love the fluff....my enjoyment of Blood Bowl has allways been the fluff, the teams and the crazy stories of Blood Bowl teams.
It is never about winning and losing...just making a good showing.
But now I have found a good story line in the Box for my Humans to explore but now that Ranked got converted...well I dont know what I will do.
I dont have the time to play to really play two teams.. I on average only get on around 4-6 games a week.
So I quess I will try to split my time but deep down I realize that the Box will go away, which I dont want but have come to the reality of the situation. I have not left the box, reality forced us apart.

You aren't the only coach who has had a chance to get to like their B teams. I don't think the box will die off again, or at least not like it did before.

From what I've seen so far B is thriving and R is much less active. Compared to the launch of FF[B], [R] is a flop so talking about the demise of B is premature at best. There will doubtless be at least some more drift towards R but B only died before because so many coaches went to FFB: it wasn't R that killed it off.
Whether you'll be able to get B games at PST times is another question of course.

I feel likewise. I had stuck with Faction for my one active team. Then it died. So, now I'm torn between my All-snotling Box team and my old Faction-now-Ranked Eevil Edshrinkaz. I'd love for my dilemma to be solved by transferring my Terrifying Anarchists to an Open division...
If you hate the match selection process as much as I do, I'd say stick with your new team in the Box and create your next chapter their. Otherwise, stick with the old storyline in the stench division.

Playing both R and B is just fine. Both Divisions deliver a different gmaing experience, so just pick what you're in the mood for when you find the time for a game and go with that.
It's not a mutually exclusive thing where you HAVE to make a choice.
I'm keeping some Box teams for when I have little time and want a fast game and moving back to Ranked to continue my award hunting projects. So see ya in R&B :)

Dont pick a division thats crazy, play in which ever one you are enjoying most at that time. Which seems to be box for now. If you get tired of it then try ranked. When you get fed up with the lack of mystery in ranked and the length of time it takes to get games go back to B.
Also B will only go away if people leave because they think it will. Stick with the box it is getting a lot more games than R is so far :)

I'm with Cloggy, I like the award hunting / grid filling in Ranked but I like the ease of geting a game in Box. I have the time for both though so as long as Box stays popular I will play both.

Also.. there are people who only play one game a week (I think).. 4-6 seems plenty to split between two teams if that's what you want to do.

I'm with Arktoris: Box is the backup, when Ranked is too quiet.
Personally, I found that I missed my Ranked teams a great deal (especially the ones I put on hiatus until niggling injuries turned less severe). I love the history, the fluff, the fact that many of them have played in majors, the old players that I've had, in some cases, literally for years.
Box is fun and convenient, but it won't replace Ranked for me as my primary division (though Ranked isn't "back" yet in terms of gf activity).
Just wait until PC announces the first major since FFB, and watch the Ranked games pick right back up.

4-6 games a week lets you play two teams with ease ! Play on [B] and on [R], and also it's not like you have to retire a team once you don't play it, you can do like me, shelve it for 6 months and play it again because you feel like it !
