Ok, I have finally blown my stack about this meme that is running around that teams are "pimping" their teams for majors.

Now I acknowledge that some coaches leading up to a major in the Ranked scene do pay closer attention to match up, especially when it comes to oponeents who could, lets say, decimate your team.

Because we know when coaches are not in "pimping" mode they are green lighting every stinking match that poses the threat of team decimation, they do, they hunger for it.

Also this assumption that NUFFLE allows "pimping" to happen. Come on now, fess up. How many of you thought that a no MB elf team was just a nice juicy cherry, easy way to score some serious SPP. After the match you have 2 RIPS and 2 SI-perms?

I can see it now. Coaches looking at the current games going on. They are screaming to the heavens that this team and that team and that coach are "pimping" and "riding dirty". But they never check the post match out. They go on oblivious to the carnage that the team "pimping" just took.

Now who can tell me the list of teams that "pimped" their way into winning a major? Who? Extraordinary Brotherhood do not count, they did not pimp, they exploited which are two different things.

So who else? Come on give me some teams that "pimped" out and won a major? I can give you about 4 who lucked out and won a major.

Yeah, that was what I thought. The list is so short you have to really put some effort into just making the list.

The ultimate Pimpers/cheaters were the Cabal of German Cheaters back in the day and the funny thing was that over 80% of the Cabal lost in the FC before the ring was found out. In fact their ring leader went into melt down mode by the epic Spiro level conspiracy dicing that booted him out of the FC.

You see in the end this idea of Pimping is just another tact to make the moral stand against picking in general. The foundation of the argument that Ranked stinks because guys can pick to "pimp" and win every stinking major. While at the same time ignoring the fact that you can abuse the scheduler over in Box. In the big picture "pimping" a team for a major does no good. It does not help your team out in the long run. IT IS ALL A MYTH!!!!
