Iam starting to think for a lot of coaches they have been disconnected even to the blogs. :} or :{

Has FUMBBL gone down the slippery slope of just hit activate or hit the green button and play this silly game, with 0 other form of interaction?

Might. Your absolutely right. On the other hand the chat has changed quite a bit...

Last visits werent too enjoyable thanks to a certain member, that quite some people wonder why he is allowed to act in the way he does. Didnt get in my way, but he just seems to pick on people in general and make inhuman comments that pass the line of being solely provocative.

Those stuff makes me angry and sometimes a bit sad i confess. I was quite disappointed to see such stuff on fumbbl i must admit.

This is the reason why i have given up on it. Even after i realized there is a fundamental element missing from fumbbl as i have first experienced it.

Apart from that you are absolutely right and can only hope irc will see a real comeback.

Time to try and find my headphones with the mic attachment, that teamspeak3 looks very promising. Back to the original post... I tried getting into the chat but also found one or two people made it not much fun. It's also an annoyingly unwieldy system to use. I don't tend to spend hours online without a match anymore, so probably wouldn't use chat outside of games anyway.

I like the old IRC channel. I log in quite a bit, but it's usually just me and Kam talking, with a few others here and there.

I always use IRC. Although no-one has named any names, you might want to check when the person who ruined it for you was last online. If you're talking about the person I think you are, they're gone.

I never liked #fumbbl. I figured that the best way to avoid getting banned was to stay out of it. ;)

Some leagues rooms were good but it is a lot simpler to use the PM system.

I haven't got any free irc software to work on my computer anyway so i mostly use pm.
But for swedish league i log in with mibbit in firefox. It's the worst online client, but the only thing i got to work.
Teamspeak sounds good anyway. Maybe i'll check it out.

IRC is from the past. Newer generation won't use it. IRC was so used ~10 years ago, not just fumbbl, but everywhere.

By my side, I'm still connected to IRC. However, I don't play as much as I did.

But to be on topic. My today's opponent had disconnection issues, and don't use IRC. Thus it becomes so much difficult to join him. Even PM isn't that much of a safety.

Maybe its worth giving it a try again then.

Probably is true though, that apart from technical changes, the community has changed in the way it reflects the game, fumbbl and itself.

But a good banter and pun will always stay fresh no matter where. :)
